Hey @SarcasticRover! I bought the shirt from CafePress in aqua, but all of the white areas of the logo came through in aqua, not white so it didn’t stand out as well as I thought it would. I’m going to touch it up with some white fabric paint, you okay with that?
BTW, I’m going to be wearing it to Dragon*Con in Atlanta next weekend, where I get to listen to all of the smart people from the Space Track (http://space.dragoncon.org/programming/) and Science Track (http://www.dragoncon.org/fan_tracks.php#SCI) talk about doing science! I promise to tweet you some photos!
Sounds like a great idea! Sorry it didn’t get to you just as you would have liked – hard to control the process with shirt mills like that – but we don’t really have any other way of getting stuff made.
Send me a pic though for sure! I want to see shirts in action doing a science!
Man I really wish you weren’t using these hacks.. I know the hassles involved in printing shirts and order fulfillment.. and these guys certainly make it easier on your end… but the quality of their product is outright offensive.
I love you Rover.
Sorry to hear it – and I feel your pain – but there’s just not a lot of other options for me.
I have ordered stuff from Zazzle in the past and found the quality pretty good – but I know these places are all about maximizing profit.
Would love to hear any suggestions for alternatives.
Hey SarcasticRover, what happened to the mugs on zazzle?
They should be back soon – I made some modifications to the artwork and Zazzle’s updating process is an ass-pain that requires 24 hrs to change things over. Or else I’m just bad at this. Either way – check back in a day? Sry!
We need a nice Lets do a science BUMPERSTICKER to put on my rover… i mean CAR!
Would you be willing to science a larger mug or a water bottle? I never could figure out why they only make 8 oz mugs. Who only drinks 8 oz of coffee??
Oh, no, wait… I see zazzle has some additional options. clearly I need more coffee.
I think it would be great if there was a iron-on transfer that we could put on our own stuff at home. A patch would be nice to sew on jackets or book-bags as well. I’d love to see a bumper sticker too.
We need a child’s size Let’s Do a Science shirt! Love it…how can that happen?!
They got ’em. Just way down the list I think.
Very good post. I certainly appreciate this website.
Continue the good work!
